"This hotel was great for us. We stayed on the second floor in a standard room. AC worked great! Water pressure was amazing. Hotel was very quiet at night (end of march). There are two nice pools and a bar, where we ate a few times during our week long stay. I loved the belizean chicken and rice. The prices were reasonable. "I can’t say enough about all of the AMAZING staff at Mata Rocks!! They welcomed us and gave a tour upon arrival, which included a complementary welcome drink at the beach bar. Over our 4 night stay, they helped us arrange our golf cart rental, snorkel trip to Hol Chan, suggested dining options close by (including Robin’s Kitchen, which was a small local take out spot with the best jerk chicken!), and called to book our early morning taxi to the airport on our last day. "This was my second time staying at The Palms, and it remains my favorite hotel ever. If you're traveling to Belize City, I highly recommend staying here! The area is safe and quiet, with plenty of delicious food and fresh juice vendors nearby. BakeD is just around the corner—do yourself a favor and try the meat pies and cookies! The rooms are beautiful and spotless. Both the Wi-Fi and AC worked perfectly. The in-room coffee maker came with great Nespresso pods, and we were welcomed with a freshly baked coconut bread on arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. There was also a well-stocked mini fridge with a variety of drinks available for a fee. We opted to grab our own from a small convenience store just down the street, but it was great to have that option if you didn’t feel like going out. The entire property is extremely clean, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. We also chatted with several locals in the area—everyone was so warm and welcoming. The hotel’s transportation services were super convenient and made getting around easy. Overall, I can’t recommend The Palms enough. 10/10!"
