"Nice hotel if lacking a bit of character. Room was ok. It was facing the main road so a bit noisy - no chance of a lie in if you wanted one especially on the Monday. Very comfortable bed and very clean. A little on the cold side for my liking but was offered extra blankets if I wanted. The bathroom was really quite cold even with the heated rail on. "Good rooms and facilities. Nice bar area and very good food. Excellent breakfast. Only concern was that the service was rather slow during the evening meal meaning that we when we tried to order dessert we were informed that the kitchen had closed (our reservation was at 7.30pm). However, when I complained at Reception, my complaint was resolved very quickly and to our satisfaction."

"Corridors & hotel room tired e.g. torn wallpaper, scuffed table. Receptionist accused me of not paying for dinner the night before where I had to provide a credit card statement as proof of payment as apparently the till receipt wasn’t suffice & the Waiter didn’t provide a pdq receipt. Fantastic facilities & grounds & felt very festive!"
