CabanaCopa Hostel

2.0 star property
7.4 out of 10, Good, (88)
"Staff were amazing! Helpful and friendly. Can arrange airport transfer for you. They all spoke English very well. There is a common area downstairs with a bar and free filtered water and lots of plugs to charge your electronics. The bunk beds were a little scary, very unstable. You only get two sheets and a pillow case so if you get a free blanket on your airline keep it! There is one plug in each bed spot. Rooms are air conditioned. It was a little expensive for a shared room with bunk beds but...

"The reception area staff spoke adequate English, unfortunately in Rio, adequate is the best you will be looking to get so don't see this as a plus or minus. However they were welcoming and friendly. I didn't find them too attentive. The triple level bunks had ladders however the double bunks (at least in my room) came without. The bunks were sturdy and mattress comfortable, however not much head room when seated on the side. The hostel offered breakfast from 8/9 (i never woke up early...

"The ac didn’t work well, so it got stuffy a few times in the middle of the night. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and well kept. Great restaurants and shops at walking distance; not to mention the beautiful Copacabana Beach. I would stay at this hotel again. And Mr. Altino (I think that’s his name), the very nice gentleman who works at the front door in the afternoons is the best!"

"Property was great for the price, the staff at night shift in the front desk was super nice, also the maintenance staff helping to fix our door lock quickly. Housekeeping Clara was extremely nice and helpful. The only downside was the staff in the front desk during the day, Diego, very rude and not a very professional demeanor. "

Toledo Copacabana Hotel

2.0 star property

"We booked this hotel for 3 nigths to start thinking that if we didnt like it we could find another place to stay for the rest of our stay... ended up staying 7 nights in total. Best location for the price . Super breakfast , walking distance to everywere , good food around the hotel and easy access to all tours . They are in the process of upgrading the place , so , you might get a room that is not updated , but you will still be happy to be there. Nice place, nice people , "
