"We thoroughly enjoyed our Ryoken experience. We stayed in the Japanese style room and had dinner and breakfast. Both exceeded our expectations. The meals were served in our own private room and were very elaborate and delicious. So many different dishes were included. The staff were very nice. The onsen experience was also very fun. Finally, they made it so convenient to visit the snow monkeys upon arrival. Highly recommend. "

"What a gem! Shibu Onsen Ichinoyu Katei is an experience in itself. A short ride from Yudanaka train station, this tradițional ryokhan is excellent. "Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. From the pickup at the station to the drop off at the Snow Monkey Park, to the “key” to the local Onsen circuit…this was a welcome reprieve from the crazy pace of Tokyo and Kyoto. My only gripe - as an expat living in Japan - was being asked to have a copy made of my ID; something (unfortunately) required of visitors to Japan, but not expats living here.
