Hotel very dated. Although clean and room was a good size, it's in need of a reno. Bathroom very small and big step to enter it. Good location to see Mt Fuji from the rooftop (although no grass & furniture like in the photo). We didn't get a room with a view. Very frustrating transport to get to the town, not much to do around the area, hardly any restaurants open and not many people out walking around at night. Didn't feel unsafe at all but felt like nothing was happening. Breakfast was good. Staying around/closer to the lake would be a better option. We only ended up staying 1 night instead of 2.

Breakfast is very limited. Only two options. It’s a little bit far from restaurants and bus station. But the view is good. Fuji mountain is seen from room. Room is clean, beds are comfortable

Excellent location as it’s not far from the train station. Easily walkable from anywhere you want to go in town. The rooftop view is amazing and doesn’t disappoint

Staff was super lovely upon check in. Please be advised they may need your booking confirmation number if you booked through Expedia or another third party. We got a room with a Mt.Fuji view and it was absolutely one of my favorite parts of my entire trip to Japan. For this price, I can’t recommend HaoStay enough. It is also short walk from Kawaguchiko station & a short walking distance from some restaurants & a convenience store. 10/10!

This property exceeded our expectations! We were greeted with a welcome treat, Our room was lovely, the location was ideal, and breakfast was delicious. They even helped us store our luggage and rent bikes to enjoy the beautiful day.

The staffs were nice. But the shuttle bus arrangement was confusing. When we checked in. we were told that we could not reserve seats for 1000am one as that one was full. Then we reserved the 0945 one instead. After we checked out, we were told that no reservation was found. When we asked, we were then arranged to take the shuttle arranged at 1000.

I think HAOSTAY is very value for money as the rooms are big (as of Japan standards) and it offers a great view of Fuji from the room window and rooftop. The Japanese or sandwich breakfast options were great. It is a 15 min walk from the train station which is manageable. For transport to the train station, they have fixed vehicle trips at 9am, 9.30am and 10am. It is recommended to book them the night beforehand as there are only spaces for approx 7-9pax. All in all, I would definitely come back again if I were to go to Kawaguchiko.

Simple accommodations that meets your basic needs well. Lobby is spacious and pleasant like the guest rooms. We were a group of 5 and we had a lot of space in the room. My only complaint was that they didnt have enough towel racks and no trash segregation. Minor issues. Amazing view from the rooftop as well. Would definitely return.

Great hotel
A lovely hotel. Room was a great size for a family of four. Lots of lovely little extras available. My daughter loved the skin care products. Great views of Mount Fuji from the room and roof top terrace. Short walk to the lake.
