"We had an excellent break staying at The Nook. The property had everything we needed and was in excellent condition. Andrew was excellent as host. "

"The Gun Room was very nicely kitted out. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bedroom was very comfortable and bright. One thing I would say is that the sofa is very small and not very comfortable! There is however a TV in the bedroom for lounging. The outside space is lovely and we had some great weather to enjoy it. We had our dog with us so the garden was great but the road was very busy so for a longer walk we had to go in the car. "

"Good location just out of town centre. Beds comfortable and plenty of room for the weekend. "

"Booked to stay for 1 night after a trip to Alton Towers. It's a shame we didn't stay for longer as the kids absolutely loved it - particularly the garden which was packed with things for them to do, including a zip line. Would definitely recommend for families and groups of friends with kids."

"Excellent facilities, very clean and great to have off road parking. The stairs are steep and a bit of a challenge. Perhaps there should be a warning included in the house description. The motion sensitive light at the top of the stairs was very necessary. It would also be helpful to have a guide specific to the house, and not just a generic guide. We missed having a recycling bin."

"The house was a great place to stay with lots of interesting places to visit in the area. A great deal of thought has been given to the layout of the property with three good sized bedrooms all with their own bathroom. The main room with its lovely views across the countryside was a great size with comfortable sitting and a very efficient wood burning stove. "Waw what an utterly amazing house, the beds were sooo comfortable we all slept like logs and the house is amazingly clean and spacious and there is everything you need for your stay. The garden is amazing and a space to put your dogs in if you wanted too! We took our dogs with us everywhere as they are small. We had a blast there and definitely will be back that is for sure and the owner was conscientious and helpful and the house is 5min walk away from town over the railway Dana bridge and 2...

"The hosts were very welcoming. We enjoyed the property and the outdoor space was great for our kids! It was a relaxing stay and we were all sad to leave"

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Smithy. The location was great & we had fun taking our 1 year old son to Trentham Monkey Forest & Amerton Farm. The only real disadvantage was that all the kitchen cupboards were low down & our son loved to play with them & their contents! But aside from having to keep a close eye on our son, the accommodation fitted our needs & we'd consider coming again next year"

Busy but quiet

"Busy hotel but extremely quiet room. Usually you hear the corridor door slam every time someone passes through, or their footsteps on the floor. The room we had was silent! We couldn’t hear people or cars at all. We had the Superior King room and it was so lovely and spacious. The breakfast was great too!"

Holiday Inn Express Shrewsbury, an IHG Hotel

My first stay at The Holiday Inn Express, Shrewsbu

"It was absolutely fantastic! My room and entire hotel was spotless. A really comfy bed, stunning breakfast and what I loved the most and I'll never forget; was just how amazzZzing the staff were. I honestly cannot thank each and every single one of them enough, so much so that I was sad to leave, because they touched me with how incredibly brilliant they were! Off the scale brilliance that touched my heart and left the best lasting impression! I miss them all already! Nina is lovely and so are her team, so much so that I honestly can't wait now; to stay there again.Ha they can't get rid of me ;)! I feel so truly blessed and lucky to have met them all and I think they are the best. So if anybody is wanting to visit our beautiful market TheTown Of Flowers as Shrewsbury is classed as and want somewhere to stay, be it a night or two or a week or whatever; I honestly hand on my heart highly recommend The Holiday Inn Express, in Shrewsbury. Be rest assured that lovely Nina and her team will look after you and that if you need them for anything, they're more than happy to help:) "
