"Overall I would recommend this property if you are like me and don’t do resorts and all inclusive. The studio apartment worked well for me and had an excellent view. Clean and comfortable with a functional kitchen should you want to dine in. There was a bit of a drive to and from the airport however I was met by a gentleman who I came to appreciate as he was very helpful and looked out for me during my stay. "The room was super clean as it was cleaned daily and it had everything you would need to cook, although we mostly at out. The pool is small but lovely and quiet with plenty of sunbeds. The best thing about staying here are Lucius and Hannah, they are lovely hosts. We were provided a welcome drink on arrival and Lucius kindly drove us into the main strip to pick up some food as it was quite late when we got there."

"Amazing views that we could just wake up and see from bed. Balcony coffee looking at town and mountains 10 out of 10! Small yet perfectly refreshing pool. Rental car or suv advised. Not many food options near. We use massy grocery store and to go food from town that we would just re heat for dinner. They do offer a decent pay breakfast. "

"Tropical paradise is the perfect name for this place. Everything was amazing from the customer service, the breathtaking views, to the food, and the cleanliness of the property. Property is not far from main attractions and everyone in the town were friendly and extremely helpful. Most definitely a 10/10. Highly recommended and I would stay again, and again!! "

"Be aware that all the food has some form of chocolate in it. Most of it is excellent, but some is odd. Also, be aware that even though the climate is temperate, there is no air conditioning and the rooms are open to the atmosphere on the West wall and above the showers. We had an excellent time and would return."

"Security was always around, the property felt very safe, we parked our rental car in lot with no issues. Food was good, rooms and grounds were clean, the beds were a little too stiff for me but my husband was ok with it. "

"The property is about 20 minutes walk from the regional airport for the adventurous ones. It’s not a tough walk but it’s not one to do if you’re not understanding what that walk means with suitcases. The staff were A1. The facilities were good. Everything was safe, secure, quiet, and most importantly convenient. "

"An amazing location directly on the shoreline with great views and a virtually private beach. My only advice would be to strongly recommend hiring a car as access to local facilities is awkward without transport. Taxis aren’t cheap but are convenient. We would also recommend spending some days at the sister property La Douphine Estate located on Cocoa Plantation but very close to all tourist attractions near Pitons and beaches. "

Bel Jou Hotel – Adults Only – All Inclusive

"My husband and I spent a week at Bel Jou for our honey moon. We both wanted something quiet, but with optional activities to intersperse throughout the day. Everything we read about Bel Jou was the right fit for us and while we love a good band (they had many while we were there), we didn’t want a big night life for this trip. The staff really make it special. Andrea and Princess made us feel welcome every day at meals and by the cabana, Mikey was a great first impression when we arrived, Shanel was our favourite person to see every morning, we often sat in Verkesa’s section at dinner as her service is friendly and delightful, and Jahfree was lovely to run into at the hotel! I am missing so many more but everyone puts in a big effort to make even the rainy days a real pleasure. The drinks (cocktails and mocktails) are fantastic, food always a hit, room is clean and comfortable. The two pools are a great asset and one is always warm from the sun for a swim. Thank you!"

A Taste Of Island Life

"My family and I travel every other year around the Christmas holiday and this year we chose St. Lucia. We like staying in the midst of every day life and typically rent a home. This original plantation home was just what we were looking for; privacy, comfort and the most beautiful view of Castries and the surrounding area were highlights of our stay. The owner's two dogs greeted us upon our return home each evening, making us feel at home. We cooked many meals in the well stocked kitchen and on the outdoor grill. We sat on the large wrap around porch in the evenings and ate our meals on it as well. We made sure we rented an all wheel drive car to navigate the dirt road to the home and to get around the island on our own. I highly recommend this property if you want to create your own adventure. "

"The house was perfect for us as a family of 5. The views are spectacular to see , 15 mins to all the beaches, this is definitely a home away from home…They are building an outside hot tub, that is a plus for the house. Renting this home was a pleasure to be at.Thanks to you and your family Edna!"
