"The Alpine Inn makes traveling with pets really easy by providing plenty of outdoor green space to walk them which we really appreciated. The motel itself is older and so while it’s clearly well taken care of there remain a few areas that need a little sprucing up but despite that, it oozes charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great location being within less than a 5 mile drive from everything. We’ll stay again next time we’re in Nelson. "

"It is worth calling the hotel directly, this is a small town and staffing hours are very thin as hotel employees juggle other jobs. However, they are super welcoming and made our check-in incredibly smooth, even at 11pm. Continental, serve-yourself breakfast was included near the front desk, where the coffee maker is located (not in the room). "Chris, who greeted us on arrival, was very friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean, very neat and a super comfortable bed. The touch of humour in the house rules made them fun to read. The mini kitchenette in the passage was great with microwave, fridge, cutlery and crockery. Higly recommended."
