Girl at the front desk was awesome!! Hotel room was cute had everything, we had one with a balcony facing the water was nice. There is a train that passes twice in the night directly behind the hotel so it’s a bit noisy but otherwise great!

The check-in staff (Kiera, in our case) was extremely helpful and welcoming, the bed was SO comfortable and the room was immaculately clean and well stocked. Unfortunately with the construction and the train running (albeit only 2x a day) directly behind our room, though not the fault of the property and something outside their control, it did tend to be a little on the noisy side. Other than that, the property is good value for money.

We were only here for the one night and it was fine. The train went by a couple of times at night and the stairs provided a bit of a challenge getting our suitcases to the room. It was a good enough stay, nothing special.

The info on Expedia’s page is misleading. While affiliated with the Prestige Resort, where all the amenities are (restaurants, pool/hot tub, etc.) is not that close to it. It’s actually an 11-minute walk that includes a shopping center parking lot to get there (or a 3-minute drive). The Prestige Inn is also right next to a train track. They give you ear plugs but the building could be much improved to lessen noise. Some examples: redo the installation of the air conditioner so that there aren’t huge drafty gaps around it that let in cold air in the winter and all the outside noise. Install a better fitting door to the room so there aren’t huge gaps all around it that let in the hallway light at night and the noise of anyone walking and talking outside the room. The walls and ceiling are also super thin as we could hear the person above us, but if the draft issues were fixed, it would help the noise issues somewhat. Additionally, the bathroom fixtures are laid out poorly. The bath towel rod is so low that when a towel is on it to dry, it covers both of the mismatched toilet paper holders so you have to reach around or repeatedly lift up the towel to get to the toilet paper. The close-up mirror is actually super far away because it’s so high up above the hand towel rack that even my tall husband had to look up to look into it. Lastly, the room wasn’t well cleaned. We found a piece of used dental floss on the carpet and a hair higher up on the shower wall.
