"We truly enjoyed our 3 weeks at Villa Fortuna in Costa Montana near the town of Tarcoles along the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica. Costa Montana is a gated community with 24/7 security. The views are breathtaking! All 3 bedrooms overlook the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest below. The drive up the mountain is not for the faint of heart. It is STEEP - a 4 wheel drive is an absolute must. The last section up to Villa Fortuna is a 22 degree grade with 3 switchbacks. If you like to walk be prepared for very steep inclines. The house is very comfortable with 3 floors, 3 large and comfortable bedrooms (with a 4th small overflow bedroom). Breakfast at the outdoor table just off the kitchen was our opportunity to see toucans/macaws. The Sonos sound system which feeds music to the pool, den or family room was excellent. The BBQ area was perfect for eat at home nights. We requested a cleaner to come in weekly and she was excellent and very affordable. The pool and patio overlooking the Pacific and rainforest below were the absolute highlight of our stay. Not everything in the write up is accurate. There is no fresh fruit on the property as stated. There are a number of typos. There is only 1 bathroom (not 2) serving two bedrooms on the third floor. The property does not have a direct sunset view - the sun sets behind the rainforest. "Villa 33 is a perfect place for family or a friends gathering, the beds are very comfortable and both suites have showers and double vanities. The air conditioning individual to each room is a plus as well. Very nicely appointed kitchen with all the utensils you need to cook any meal.Just down the road are two great beach options and a good grocery store on the way. The beach features a well equipped trailer for food and drinks and the Monkeys are quite friendly, just secure your goods as they are sneaky little guys.I would recommend highly staying at this villa"

"The place was just fantastic, it had everything yet a minimalistic feel to it. The trek up the hill is a bit high but you get used to it. Now let's get to what I thought was THE MOST fantastic view of the gulf! Your could sit there for hours in awe of this view. The pictures do not do capture this, you really need to be there to view it in all its glory. Don't think about it, just go for this property. On top of that Edgardo the manager and the owners Frank and Sammy were great with communication. Highly Highly Recommend!"
