"Very nice hostle. I have not stayed in many hostels in the States but this was one of if not the nicest.The location is a bit out of the way, and way far from where I came from (another hotel in LA); but found the local restaurants interesting enough. Coffee in the morning would have been a nice touch. Getting buzzed in to wait in the yard 1/2 an hour before ckin rather than outside on the sidewalk with bags might have been appreciated as well. Otherwise, nice place, nice stay :). Oh - and one...

"I rented room 316. The room is modern and everything worked perfectly in the room. Plenty of fast hot water for the shower. Check in/out persons were very nice. All of the other persons renting rooms, I met walking up/down the stairs and in the breakfast area, were extremely friendly. Samesun is a totally FUN place to rent a room. I plan to rent a room again in the future. "

"The hotel itself was safe and clean, however the neighborhood surrounding it does have quite a few homeless people around and is dirty. If you walk up one block it gets better and surprisingly a lot of good restaurants are nearby. Public transit was better than we expected."

If you like the "hippie" or Bohemian culture, you will love this area! Staff was very friendly, and helpful. We did have to park about 8 blocks away to find free parking, or you can pay to park closer. "
