We loved staying in a more rural part of the Smoky Mountains where we could enjoy the beauty and the smaller-town atmosphere of Bryson City without all the traffic. The sunsets and hot tub were wonderful - as was the nearby Nantahala Outdoor Center. We did not want to leave, and hope to return soon! I recommend bringing an SUV or higher clearance vehicle as opposed to a sports car - it's easier to drive up the hill on the gravel road. "

"The ol' gun range cabin was nothing short of magical. The cabin its self was clean and nicely maintained. It has tons of character and is pretty cool. The hot tub was nice as well as the firepit area. If you are looking to disconnect and enjoy nature this is your place."
