"The place is absolutley perfect just one thing let it down and that was the bathroom!!! very disappointing as we’d stayed at 2 hotels prior and the bathrooms had walk in showers, shame as that would of made the hotel 100% will return in the hope there’s a walk in shower "

"The hotel is located on the main road into Windermere and has its own parking. Check in was fast and the receptionist was very helpful. I was a little disappointed as I didn’t realise that access to the pool with kids is only between 9am - 1pm so we had to move our plans around and take the kids the following morning. "Comfortable place to stay.. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and the full English breakfast was excellent.. Would stop again.. Easy to walk to Windermere town, and not far to Bowness. Overall, it was a great value stay.."

"Excellent Period property. As an older building we were unsure what to expect but it’s immaculate throughout. Staff were incredibly friendly and we were delighted to be checked in 3 hours prior to the arranged time. Couldn’t be more conveniently located a minute walk from the castle and the Main Street where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. "For the price we paid for two adults and two children for a night's stay the accommodation was perfect. Arrived early and our room was already ready for us, staff really good, entertainment in main bar good. Would definitely recommend hotel to anyone and as we've been before would definitely return ourselves."
