"This is our second time staying at Diego’s house. He is very easy to communicate with, got back to us very quickly, and always had suggestions and advice. The caretaker, Lisbeth, was very friendly and helped us out throughout our stay. The house is beautiful and the location is wonderful. You are in the middle of nature, with scenic views, animal watching and critters around! We loved it!"

"We loved our stay here and felt the other reviews we read prior to arriving were pretty accurate! The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was exceptional and the service, while at times longer, was also high-quality. This resort doesn’t necessarily stay open very late and is for someone looking for a more laidback atmosphere. The food and cocktails were without question the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive. We were well-pleased and enjoyed every meal. The nearby town, Samara, is also a quick cab ride or a 30-40 minute walk by beach for a change of scenery. Overall, we loved our stay here, will recommend it to those we know, and hope to return someday!"

"Just returned from a 9 night stay at this beautiful private home! My husband and our 2 children (ages 6 and 12) were comfortable and happy during our stay!The home is a great fit for 4 people as a family or two couples! It has eveything you need in the kitchen and beyond. We ere happy to use the towels provided for the pool as well as tolwes/chairs and such for the beach!The pool is lovely! Its just under 5 ft deep.We were greeted by monkeys, butterflies and iguanas daily.The AC in the bedrooms were a must! A nice breeze does feel good at the property but the house gets hot fast.I would recommend 4x4 vehicle as the roads in samara woods to access the house are hilly/windy - definitely noy walkable to town (not that we expected that ahead of time!) But just close enough (8min drive) to downtown to eat and enjoy many of the local places, shop for groceries or enjoy the beach!Lucas the PM was attentive and helpful when needed.We did expereince 1 large (expected/planned) power outage and a few short ones - typical of C.RYou will also have lots of different bugs around you joining you inside and outside. The only negative remark would be about the slight sewage smell from the private bathtoom - we sre familiar with septics so I assume it was from that. A full length mirror would also be nice to havr but these are small things.We would love to return again someday!The "

"We enjoyed this sweet, quiet beachfront property on the outskirts of what is becoming a busy town. The rooms were simple but adequate, and the property has gardens, pool, chairs and tables, and breakfast. There is food and drink about 300 feet down the beach, and the ‘downtown’ area a 10-15 minute walk down the beach. This place is for those who want peaceful, reasonably priced, and comfortable ."

"Residencias Samara is an oasis within the oasis of Samara. From the friendly staff to the comfortable rooms, Residencias Samara was the perfect homebase for the Samara leg of our honeymoon. We found it to be wonderfully relaxing and well situated within town and close to the beach. We spent a significant portion of our time enjoying the pool when not at the beach or the great restaurants nearby. We would definitely pick Residencias Samara again on a return trip in the future. "

"This was the first visit to Costa Rica for my family (spouse, kiddos, and parents). I had been 20 years ago, but not to Samara. The house was perfectly set up and offer space and place for everyone. Each day, we were greeting by howler monkeys and iguanas. The mother-in-law would make morning coffee and sit at the patio watching the passing monkey troup. My youngest daughter was in love with the pool and spent more afternoons there. The house itself is near but not directly in town and was quiet peaceful each day. We would easily come back again. "
