"Clean warm friendly. Restaurant and pub downstairs didnt notice it being any noisy upstairs in the room. Bed was comfortable four poster. Room spacious and tall with large window viewing street below and losehill opposite worth a walk along with mam tor at the other end. Free car park opposite the hotel."

Sat in bar after meal on some lovely leather sofas with a beer chatting with other residents. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Breakfast great- perfect fuel for a day of hiking. "We had a perfectly good stay at the Dog and Partridge, but the accommodation didn’t transpire to be what we expect. We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. The pub itself has a nice enough bar, and offers fair evening meals, with a home-cooked feel, and a very good continental breakfast selection, or cooked options for just £6 extra. This...

"Very comfortable stay, room was clean and en-suite with over shower/bath, plenty of plugs and sockets for all your media needs, bed was comfy and had a good night sleep, no noise at all from inside or outside even though in the middle of Eastwood, I didn’t eat but looked reasonably priced. "

We could only reach the breakfast room by walking across the car-park, which was not pleasant in the February weather, but the wide selection and generous portions of cooked food available for breakfast add to the overall good value for money offered by this hotel. Having smaller appetites, we would have liked to see some bread or toast alongside the jam and butter on the buffet table or at least to see them mentioned on the menu,...

"The Plough is a quaint and adorable hotel/pub very convenient to the beautiful villages of the Peak District. The staff were friendly, food was delicious and our room was charming. We will definitely return when we visit this area again."
