"The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a late afternoon walk on the country lanes of Middle Wallop. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests: - Room ("the family room"): because it was directly above the pub, we could hear music clearly through the floor until the pub closed. This did not bother us. The room was snug with the sofabed mattress open. Beds were comfortable, room was clean - The Expedia listing explicitly said that breakfast was not included in the price, but the George Inn provided us with a beautiful breakfast spread: fresh berries, yogurt, juice, coffee & tea, and a full entree off of their breakfast menu. It was a really nice surprise!"

"What an incredible week we had at Brockhurst Cottage number 3. Cooking on the Aga, watching the snow falling outside, wine in front of the fire and walks in the country was just what we needed for some R & R. The cottage is well appointed with everything a family needs and has all the quirks of a quintessential English cottage. Stairs may be a bit tricky for the younger and older guests and if you're into modern then maybe not the place for you! We loved it. Clean towels and bedding, Laundry, TV, Wifi, bathtub, key essentials for our family of five (3 teens). Day trips to Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Winchester, Salisbury. Plenty to do or perhaps just relax and do nothing at all. "

"This property was perfect for our group of 3 families consisting of 6 adults and 4 children. The property was extremely well furnished, very comfortable and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, even to cook a complete Christmas dinner for us all with all the trimmings. The host had kindly decorated the lounge area with a Christmas tree and other decorations. A cot and high chair for the baby were provided and the cinema room was perfect for movies and computer games. The outside area is perfect, especially in good weather for the children to play as it is large with swings and outdoor games. We felt extremely welcome and wouldn't hesitate to stay here with our family in the future. A special thanks to Dianna and Elle. "

"Very short notice return from sea and needed to be in Salisbury . . . Found this. Remarkable. Friendly and willing to receive me past usual closing. Still a little raw from refurbishment but warm, comfortable and very clean. The staff are young and enthusiastic and the largely Indian dining and event provision is ambitious. "

"Great stay at Green Gables Shepherds Hut, quaint and cosy. Lovely country setting with pretty views and pigs and piglets to visit every morning. Great friendly hosts and a local pub serving gorgeous food within walking distance x "
