"We enjoyed our stay very much. Room was spacious, clean and modern. It has usb chargers, chromecast and enough plug sockets. Rooftop bar and swimming pool was very convenient and can see views across Tenerife. Considering it was a very central location, noise was almost non existent, windows were clearly new and soundproofing installed very well. Showers were hot, quick and powerful. "I saw a few negative reviews when I booked but decided to chance it. I'm glad I did. I don't have anything negative to say. Room was clean and spacious (we had the triple room) . Bathroom was clean. Kitchen was good. Rooftop terrace was cute. Whole place was cute, actually. I'm not sure about how good the location is because we had a short stay and didn't explore the area, but proximity to airport is perfect and parking was easy to find."

"Really enjoyable stay here. Great for star gazing from the balcony and just listening to the sea on the rocks. Perfect view of the sunrise every morning. Not the largest property but ideal for couple or perhaps small family. Overall great value and Anabel is very welcoming. Just avoid if you are a nervous driver as road down is steep and twisty ! But worth it."

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff in a central location (right by Plaza de Espana), nice rooftop pool (with good views of the city) and a great rooftop bar, serving restaurant food in a nice relaxed setting. The food and cocktails/drinks was of great quality and very reasonably priced (especially for a hotel!). The young ladies at the reception desk who served me when I checked in were lovely and very friendly, despite me arriving a bit confused because of my autism, they showed me directly how to get to my room and one of them visibly walked to the lift to show me where to go! Santa Cruz is a lovely city which I much preferred to my stay in Puerto de la Cruz. The lido and botanical gardens is amazing and the city has a great metro service (which goes all the way to the beautiful city of La Laguna). The lovely beach of Playa de las Teresitas is only a 10-15 mins drive away by taxi (only 4 miles!) and has golden sand imported from the Sahara and great mountain views. When I checked out, one of the friendly ladies who checked me in asked me what I thought of my stay and I had nothing but praise. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a centrally located hotel in Santa Cruz!"

"We had a great time in this home, everything was perfect from day 1. Mr. Lorenzo was very kind, professional and helpful. The property was amazing and the views outstanding. Just be aware you will need a car as public transportation not readily available. We had a great time there!"

Absolutely horrible stay. Do not book!

"Absolutely horrible stay, disgusting stay & even worse service. Should have know this was going to be a disastrous stay the night before, the property manager emailed stating there was a plumbing issue with the upstairs bathroom but was hopefully getting fixed. At this point I should have said we were cancelling & to refund us! We checked in & there was sewage smell which the plumbers came to try & fix but the smell was there throughout our stay. The pool was dirty, they claimed it wasn't.The fountain that is nicely shown on the pictures was switched off for most of our stay, apparently as it was too noisy for previous guests. I dont understand this as it only runs for 15 minutes after you press the button. Anyways, this only worked for 2 days. Although the listing states you can pay €30/day to heat the pool, you cannot as it doesn't work. I asked for a refund the first day & was told I could only get 15% back.If I wanted to make further complaint I had to wait 48 hours as the next day was a public holiday. I was told that i "chose" to continue staying at the villa, but if you're checked in & only being offered15% of nearly €1500 what should i do. We spent little time in the villa because of the smell. When we checked out they said a parasol's stitching was ripped & a freezer drawer cracked so were charging over €500, we didn't do any of this. Villa is extremely dated, many things don't work or are broken. This villa is a con & simply do not book. AVOID!"

Potential to be better

"First impression externally...the property is very nice, in a quiet area. Due to delays at the airport the host agreed to leave the key for a contactless check in. Upon entering the property it looked nice on the upper floor. Inspection of the kitchen found to be well equipped although musty mould smells in all cupboards. The bedrooms are well position on the lower floor but cobwebs and loose fittings visible.The bathroom was filthy and toilet very stained....don't think it has been cleaned properly for a long time. I did contact the host who offered to send a cleaner to resolve but we had already settled in and this would cause disruption I opted to clean it myself. Also the TV was missing in the main bedroom and bath panel hanging off. The photos on the advert are old and a tad misleading of it's present condition. We stayed 11 nights and no mid stay clean or bed linen change was offered. We have had both these on shorter rentals. In general we had a fabulous holiday regardless, the location is rather isolated but we knew this and hired a car so it wasn't a problem. Was a good base for exploring northern Tenerife. The villa would be fabulous with a bit of a refresh and a good clean."
