"Really loved this hotel, loved the extra little bits other hotels don’t do - free glass of wine between 4-5, free fruit water and iced tea, stroopwaffels when leaving, slippers and dressing gowns in rooms - all lovely touches! "It was very convenient to all the major sights and attractions. It is right on the Amstel River. The hotel is quiet and clean with a number of dining options at all price points nearby; including a well stocked supermarket, Albert Heijn about 200m away out the back door, with premade breakfast, lunch and dinner to grab and go if you'd just like to save some money and eat in your room. I already recommended the hotel to two friends who are going to Amsterdam in April. "

"We chose the Marriott based on it overall reputation and location as a family of 4 sharing a family room. Location was perfect and the majority of places we wanted to visit during were walkable which was ideal. We only had breakfast once and there was lots of choice for everyone, however we did think it was a little on the expensive side, so chose to eat out the rest of our break which did work out cheaper. Room was really spacious considering there was 4 of us - 2 children aged 11 and 17 and the beds were lovely and comfortable and we all slept well. No noise issue's either with others stsying in the hotel in nearby rooms. One thing to note is that a security deposit will be held against your card at €100 per night, however this was quickly released following check out. Would definitely recommend and return again."
