"We stay for 5 nights and would’ve stayed forever! Beautiful, conveniently located property. Manuel gave a very informative tour of the flora and fauna on the property. By the first full day we had already seen 3 Collard Aracari toucans having a snack together, 1 Keel-billed toucan, a large troop of capuchin causing trouble in the trees less than 100 feet from our bungalow, and the troop of howlers that live on the property. "The property needs proper cleaning and during the night, you’re all alone in the middle of nowhere. No A/C and the windows doesn’t have any screens. Mosquitos enter your room freely. "

"Beautiful boutique hotel. Only 6 rooms. each individually decorated . Owner chef welcoming and very personable. Amazing tasting meal available as well as regular menu. Enjoy the included family style breakfast (for hotel guests only) while you watch Toucans at the feeders. Highly recommend stopping at Gingerbred!"

"Paul and the team and the best in the area. If you are thinking of staying in Fortuna, take a few extra minutes and drive a little further north to paradise in the mountains. The rooms, the amenities and the scenery are a 10! We ate at the private restaurant every night and we were happy we did. Rosita’s restaurant is amazing and we would recommend eating there at every opportunity. Thank you Paul, Rosie and Bill for the great stay. Blessings. "

"Ce B&b a très clairement été l'un des coups de cœur de notre séjour. Nous avons passé deux nuits (23 et 24 décembre) dans l'une des chambres donnant directement sur l'aire commune. L'environnement est absolument charmant : assez loin des autres établissements et du village avoisinant, la nature luxuriante du jardin tenu avec soin offre calme et dépaysement. "This was our first night in Costa Rica. We picked to stay here to split the drive to la fortuna and to be able to stop at Rio Celeste. It’s close to Rio Celeste. The town itself seems abanded. The owner of this property is very sweet. The area is loud, close to the road and constantly hearing traffic. The cabin type room has a large portable fan which was great. Shower works well. Good stay for 1 night. "

"Excelente lugar! Es un lugar familiar con un trato muy cercano y amable. La cabina muy bonita y cómoda, con una pequeña cocina. Da la sensación que estás dentro de la selva, ya que tienen un jardín muy bonito. Desayuno muy completo con café, fruta cortada, tostadas, huevos, plátano frito. Hecho al momento. Volvería al sitio!"

"Beautiful place with an outstanding view across the lake and a very nice pool area. We enjoyed the birds attracted to the flowers planted everywhere. The unit was spacious and very pleasant with a sitting area outside. The only downside was that we did not enjoy the hotel's lunch and dinner service but the cook may change and there are close-by alternatives. "

Amazing Mountain Stay

"Excellent location, wonderful service and very clean. Delicious included breakfast overlooking a volcano backdrop. Incredible value for price. Booked based on location and proximity to Rio Celeste waterfall. Easily walkable to entrance of national park for Rio Celeste hike. Highly recommend for anyone looking to hike Rio Celeste Waterfall. "

"We had an amazing experience at Celeste lodge. Starting with our concierge Francisco who was so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The location and views are to die for. Their restaurant serves lunch and dinner by reservation only but their food is so fresh and delicious that we ended up dining in there the two nights we stayed. There is always a surprise meal prepared by a French chef. Btw, we have dietary allergies in our family and they accommodated us without a problem, Breakfast is complimentary and is so good too. We would go back in the blink of an eye!"
