"This is the second time that I have stayed at Xandari. This resort is absolutely incredible. From the staff to the grounds to the amenities. It will always now be a stop I make either on my way in or out of San Jose. The food is amazing. The staff is so kind and helpful. The whole place is just absolutely stunning. And let’s talk about that view. I didn’t have a chance this time to do the waterfall trail that I did last time and they are amazing as well. Don’t even consider it- just book it!!! "

"Beautiful property. Great pool. Great views. This hotel is a little pricier than the others in the area but it worked out great for us. There was a nice pool and bar to relax in after a day’s activities. The room was clean and the air conditioning kept the room nice and cold. The included breakfast had a nice buffet. Our dinner was excellent as well. Overall all a terrific experience. "

"What a hidden gem! Honestly, the photos don’t do this place justice, it’s even better in person. The vibe is pure Pura Vida from the moment you arrive. The staff are incredibly kind, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. We only had breakfast and lunch at the hotel, and the food was great, but huge portions. A tip: before booking any activities outside, check with the hotel first. I really wish we had booked the chocolate tour! We did the cooking class and absolutely loved it — preparing and sharing comida de la abuela made for such a special and authentic experience. Thank you !"

"Reception staff was wonderful! JJ is an absolute star , their recommendations for restaurants & things to do were top notch ! The rooms are pretty dated , but clean , sheets have been used for waaay too long , they're stained & worn . Breakfast was great , no problems with the hot water. The room was quite noisy ( concert from either the fridge/freezer , the fan in the bathroom or somewhere in the walls ). "
