"Lovely hotel. Very Christmassy. Staff friendly and helpful. Only issue was bed was vv hard. Staff did put in mattress topper but still pretty uncomfortable. "

The breakfast was delicious and a good selection. Stairs were very creaky to our room and I wouldn’t have wanted to come back late for fear of waking other guests. Overall a pleasant stay. "

"Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor...
