I don’t understand why they take the card to pre authorise the check in payment and when when you check out they take the card again. Surely if a card is pre authorised it just takes the payment. "The highlight of our stay was the staff. They were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. This ranged from extra bedding and additional heating for our room to the glorious porridge cooked for us individually at breakfast."

The room size is okay but comfortable. We opted for their breakfast which was warm and lovely. Over all we loved our stay here."

"The parking situation was not ideal. No directions or signage til at the underground garage. Have to obtain password from reception to unlock padlock to pull heavy metal gate open then closed. No direct route to hotel. So you drag luggage round the main road to the front of the pub/hotel. "
