"Beautiful rooms with great amenities, including a pantry with sweets and cakes! Amazing breakfast in the Pearly Cow restaurant downstairs. Only downside was we were too early in the season to enjoy the rooftop (not the hotel’s fault) but plenty of bars, microbreweries and cafes nearby to choose from instead."

Could do with a little TLC (extractor fan not working in the bathroom and toilet flush not great!) but nothing that affected our stay. "Bed was old and uncomfortable but everything else was great"

"I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

"I stayed in one the cottages and it was super; clean, cosy & warm and designed to a high standard. The private garden a great addition. The restaurant and food is good quality and I thought priced reasonably. Chilham is a pretty village and the White Horse Inn is also super for a drink with the locals. Canterbury is a short drive, or train journey so a great place if you want to visit the city but be in the country. I loved it. "
