"stayed 2 nights for a short visit to Durham and surrounds. Excellent choice of hotel.Newly renovated superior room on 4th floor ,very spacious,clean and bright..No complaint whatever apart from heavy safe placed loosely on floor under desk top.Food in restaurant was very good especially breakfast choices,and staff only too pleased to deal with a couple of awkward requests on our part. Especially Daisy,Dan and all staff we spoke with. "

"I would have provided full stars if the cleanliness didn’t let it down. On arrival, I went to run my child a bath and there was a pubic hair in the tub, so I checked the shower and a blatant pubic hair left on the cubicle floor, and finally there was what looked like a boot print on the base sheet on the bed. The staff were very quick to send someone to change the sheet. The customer service was second to none, everyone was extremely friendly and professional. It is a shame that those incidences...

"Pretty good overall. Breakfast especially good and room comfortable. Main downside was the bathroom which looked old and tatty especially the silicone sealant. Toilet constantly running. Sink tap constantly leaking from handle and occasionally making a loud vibrating noise which could also be heard coming from other rooms. Shower good though. But liquid soap and shampoo poor quality and nozzles don't screw properly into bottles and don't pump properly. No sound proofing against corridor noise...
