"Great one night stay here for the grand theatre Wolverhampton. Only £6/7 in a taxi there. Couldn't really find a nice hotel in the town centre, so found this gem. It's kept it's old gothic style with all modern furnishings. Lovely dining room. My one and only complaint was the pillows were hard. But suited my friend that stayed with me, so just personal choice. Amazing staff. Nice walk down the lane to nice pub too. "

"We have stayed in this hotel a few times but for the first time we were on the side of the hotel that is nearest the M6. We loved this side because it caught the sun, you could barely see the motorway but the view was great. Overall, staff were very friendly. The only downside was the chaos at breakfast, where there were insufficient staff to make the breakfast experience pleasurable."

"We stayed here for my wife’s 55th birthday. My wife has mobility issues and the staff were very accommodating to her needs. As usual staff are very attentive, polite and friendly. Only issue is they have changed the evening menu and was not to our taste so dined out in the evening. Bar menu and breakfast excellent with lots of choice. Fantastic stay once again 😊"

The only downsides were the noise of the front door - not sure whose great idea it was to put a family room (206) directly above the main entrance and opposite the exit of the pub and the bed was rather hard - I compared it to the slab you would lay on for a Turkish massage but some might like that, I personally didn't. "Had an excellent stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was quick and convenient. The room was cleaned and the bed made whilst we were out. Overall a good hotel. The only thing which was slightly inconvenient is the parking charge which was not very well advertised prior to arrival. It would be good if that charge was built into the room cost for at least 1 vehicle as based on location - it is unlikely many guests would not be parking there."

"The hotel is quirky, a beautiful building with wood pannelled entrance hall and lounges. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Garden is very pretty and has access onto the canal for a pretty walk. Harleys smokehouse restaurant, adjacent to the hotel served delicious food and the breakfast was generous and very reasonably priced. Would go back again."
