"Lovely hotel, our room was very small but we only stayed one night so was adequate, nice selection in mini bar but a bit expensive so we didn’t use, the room we had could do with upgrading, a bit grubby round the edges, paint flaking from skirting boards and some nasty stains on the carpet, our window looked out onto a car park to the back of the hotel so little street noise, the room was also very warm but there was a fan provided"

The leisure facilities and staff were excellent Unfortunately our heating didn’t work and we were too tired to wait for maintenance to resolve We also didn’t get any bottled water in our room on arrival which was on their portal but the room was brilliant and so spacious so we’d definitely stay again "

"We added a trip to stay at Lumley Castle at the end of our Scotland trip because of the similarity to our last name. I'm so glad we did. We stayed in a State Bedroom in the Castle. Because they had no events scheduled for the night we were there we were allowed to explore. It is so well preserved. It was a magical place.
