"Great hotel with attentive staff, issue at check in was sorted immediately and we were mived to another room. Rooms are on the small side, but if you're out and about all day, as we were, its not an issue. Flooring i the bathroom needs re-laying however, as it has lifted away. Would stay again."

"Great location wise and easy walk into the main town good size room, well decorated with well stocked mini bar 😊 Would recommend, only downside was we were in the room downstairs (basement) so view out of windows was not good. "

Great that the staff will pick up your luggage from the station on arrival and it was in our room when we arrived. Afternoon tea was wonderful and we loved the pantry and record player in our room. "Really lovely place. Staff can't do enough for you. Really convenient to walk into York and excellent value for money. The room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable. I did turn the radiator on in both the bathroom and bedroom as it got quite cold at night and it was lovely and snug. Only slight negative was being by the kitchen (room 2) and could hear the staff every morning. Others have mentioned being able to hear everything and i understand that due to the building being a grade...
