"Convenient location off the motorway near Kendal, less east of travelling north. Wasn’t clear if there was specific parking and couldn’t park close to doors so difficult with luggage. Rooms were a bit tired and needs some maintenance. Staff were friendly. Recommend purchasing food at the services further north as only Costa and McDonald’s available "

"We chose this hotel as we wanted a quiet night away not too far from home and away from the busy tourist areas and it didn’t disappoint. It’s hard to judge a place on a quiet weeknight in November but we had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and clean with everything we needed. "The hotel is inconspicuous on a dreary day but has double doors from the bar to the street so would be lovely on a summers day. The rooms are spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was fitted with a lovely modern shower and the vista was straight out to the Bay (which was sadly freak and dreary). One lady (Margaret) was amazing. "We stayed at the Clarenden for one night. Communication leading up to the stay was excellent. The hotel was traditional with original features but comfortable for the modern guest. The room was quite small but comfortable and clean. It was a very cold night leading up to the recent storm and the room was quite cold. Apart from that it was a very pleasant stay. "

Beautiful 3-bed Caravan Situated on Lakeland Haven

Great Weekend Break

"Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping areas are full. A great base if you want to explore the Lake District."
