The towel bags was a nice feature so we were able to carry the towels to the bath. Breakfast was delicious. There were so many options ranging from Japanese to western. There was something for everyone to eat. The hotel had nice little perks. When we stayed, there was happy hour (free alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and evening snack in the dining hall. "

"Excellent hotel on a budget. Room is clean and size is just nice for Japan standard. Check in and check out were very fast with machine. Breakfast was mainly Japanese food. Toiletries and tea powder were placed in the lobby for self service. Good Japanese system but must get used to it. Overall, it is an excellent hotel. "

"Clean, quiet, and convenient location. Most importantly, the quality of bed is amazing. I always suffer from bad jet lag for at least first few days after arriving from east coast (US), this is a first night I was able to sleep straight for 7 hours! The room was more spacious than one in Tokyo where I spent before coming to Matsumoto. Free delicious Japanese style breakfast which I am very happy with. Certainly it worths the price. The only problem I had was the room was not available until 4 pm. I had to change my clothes in the rest room and missed one hour nap. Nevertheless, I liked this place and will be back again when I am visiting Matsumoto next time."

"The staff provided excellent service. The hot springs were beautiful and relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast meals were plentiful, served in a nice semi-private setting, and offered items that were unique. My only complaint is that there was an unpleasant smell in the area. I believe may have been sulphur from the hot springs. It was not only at the property, but also at other places we visited in the area."
