"This is a very cool property to stay in when visiting Liverpool. The building itself is historic, and you’re in one of the history-rich areas of the city. The building retains a lot of its original architecture, and the rooms have been built to preserve what’s been there as much as possible. So don’t be surprised to find the odd pole in a room or hallway. The weather was unusually warm for my stay, but opening a window helped cool the room. "The staff were friendly and helpful. The waiter who served us dinner on the evening of 22nd March was particularly helpful and very professional. The room although a little dated was of a good size. The room was clean and the house keeping ensured the room was refreshed on the 22nd March. My only concern was that a significant number of boys, possibly there due to a football event were not supervised appropriately by the adults, who were obviously responsible for them. "The only issue I had was that when taking my car to the underground car part the car scraped the floor at the bottom of the ramp. On speaking with other guests they also mentioned this.. no warning signs at all."

"Nice quiet hotel on a busy street in the city centre. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Access to all floors is via the room key making the hotel feel very safe, a bonus for solo travellers. Plenty of places in the immediate vicinity for breakfast, coffee and bistro or fine dining. The only downside is no facilities in the room to make a drink, not even a glass if you take bottled water in with you, although drinks can be purchased in reception. Check in and out is fast. Would recommend. "
