"We enjoyed our stay, albeit short, at the hotel. We only stayed one night, needing a place without a long drive to the Airport. It was an easy drive to our car rental drop off. I’m glad we chose this location. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was great having such a short walk to the beach where we could watch the sunset fade into the ocean on our final night in Costa Rica."

"Leaky toilet at base. Needed new gasket or seal. Made floor wet. Safe did not work. Maintenance man said it was broken. Convenient location and fairly priced. Nice pool."

"I stayed at this hotel for a wedding almost 20 years ago, so was excited to go back. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. My recommendations would be for the hotel to tidy up the grounds, remove rocks from the sitting area by the pool and try and clean up the beach a little bit right in front of the hotel."

"We had a great stay. It is easy to walk from hotel to beach and in the afternoons we enjoyed the pools. We had a villa so we cooked breakfast ourselves (there is a small grocery store next door) and sat in patio to eat. Air conditioning and hot water worked great. Note that the hotel does NOT provide any beach towels and makes you sign something promising not to bring theirs to beach. Haven’t seen this before…"

"We had a great stay at the Las Espuelas Hotel. The people were super helpful and friendly. Pool was nice and clean. Service was great, the facilities were clean but moderate. Breakfast was super and at night we could relax at the restaurant and bar. The only draw back was that there is nothing around the hotel and for every trip we needed a car."

"The area around the hotel is amazing, the room was clean, and staff were helpful. We had so much fun doing the activities like hiking, horseback riding, and hot springs. The included breakfast is awesome and the outdoor restaurant where you can watch the sun set was great! The only downside was the pool. It clearly needed more filtration and maybe a check on chemical levels. There was algae growing in it and lots of bird poop in it. I know it is outdoors, but so are other pools we’ve been too,...

"Close to airport. Despite that it was quiet. Good price. They can provide transport to airport on request. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is eating close by, but quite limited. Good inexpensive choice if you have an early morning flight."
