Yes, there is music well into the night, but that didn't bother us at all, as we were aware of such beforehand .... just part of the street atmosphere. "Do not book this. Immediately after checking in I was followed by two strange men who banged on my door asking me to let them in. They waited outside for what felt like forever. When I finally got downstairs to check out and get to a new hotel, they agreed to cancel the rest of my stay and refund me. That refund never came. This place is sketchy and not safe."

"We really enjoyed our stay, it is in an old house that has character. The owners are really friendly and we enjoyed good conversations with them. We even could use their breakfast room one day when it was too rainy to use their roof terrace. If you like older properties with little nooks and crannies and some steps here and there and nice fixed up rooms then this is your place. Lots of plants around as well. On the whole: good stay, we can recommend the place."

"I stayed at the BlackBrick Cape Town for two weeks, which made it possible to interact a lot with staff and get an impression of the surroundings. The hotel is clean and quiet. I was upgraded to one of the larger 9th floor apartments with a small balcony. The room was comfortable and kept very neat by housekeeping staff. The desk staff downstairs were always polite and courteous and helped me with everything I needed. Beyond the room, I didn't make use of the other facilities beyond the rooftop...
