The room was compact but unless you were planning to spend a whole day in the room, it was perfect for sleeping and getting ready for the day. "The staff were all excellent and attractive. The room was comfortable. The spa-bath in our en-suit was a lithe noisy but fun. We enjoyed a swim in the pool, not huge, but not busy. The only negative was breakfast was not very hot but otherwise the restaurant dinner was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Great location for exploring the south lakes and Furness peninsula. "

"Not staffed, you receive a code for entry on day of arrival, all worked great. The room was clean, decorated nicely, had a huge bathroom with large shower and free toiletries. Internet was fast and reliable. It was very quiet. The heart chocolates on the pillows (it was Valentines the day after our stay) were a cute touch."
