"The service needs improvement. We may be unlucky been served by a by a new employee ( I hope it was just a new employee or an untrained one). I ordered a drink a the bar and I actually explained to the lady how to do it - it was just an Apperoll spritz- nothing fancy). On the dinner , after we ordered, after 15 minutes, she came back asking us if we want to order something. "Awesome spot for hiking central or exploring surrounding points of interest. Far from the madding crowd - in winter at least! Great atmosphere! Dog friendly ❤️ Breakfast a bit so so buffet style but maybe because of season and cold plates - because of season. Will be back "

"My stay was great from the moment I got checked in by Persia who was lovely and even offered to see if the kitchen would prepare me something even though they had just closed. After my long journey from London it was a very good welcome. My room had a beautiful window with a view of the Lake and the mountains. The rest of the staff from the bar to the restaurant was really accommodating and kind. It’s within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, cinema and the lake of course. "

"On night stay for a football game. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment and so the front is covered in scaffolding and the halls and stairways are certainly more than a little tired That said the staff were exceptionally friendly, the room itself was clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi was strong, the shower was hot and the breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again "

"A beautiful old building. Stunning views. The staff were amazing every one of them, could not do enough for you, anticipated needs before we had them. The food was stunning although rich and fancy, be nice to have lighter options. Could have been warmer but the fires were on and all radiators all the time and it was in the minus numbers in a very old house so it’s forgiven. "
