It is a little bit of a walk from the central touristy area of bacalar and a lot of touristy restaurants, but honestly it was great exercise for us and we enjoyed it. Plus, it’s only a short walk to the lagoon where you can swim for a daily fee of 20mxn. The hallway and bathrooms are a bit of a tight space, but it wasn’t a big deal for us.
