"Tiny little boutique Hotel only stayed one night so we could catch the ferry to Belize. But there are good restaurants within walking distance, the staff was so nice and welcoming, the room was perfect, and it was worth what we paid. "Booked this stay which was to be a king bed suite. Hotels.com contacted the location, as usual hsppens, and the reservation was confirmed. Oyo Hotel Marías did process the deposit for a king suite per the contract. The balance was to be paid upon arrival. When I did arrive the attendant would not process a credit card payment and demanded cash. That was the start of the breach of contract. This was a nonrefundable booking. It is a run down, bug infested, water damaged, no hot water, no facilities, no help to drag luggage up 2 flights of stairs...I am a 73 yr solo female traveler and felt unsafe the whole time I was there.
