"The best thing about Japan Palace is how friendly and helpful the staff were. There was also helpful information about bus and train and restaurants post in Japanese and English. The next best thing was that although not fancy it had all the basics for cooking a simple meal and a very pleasant common area. Highly recommend! "

"Went in May. Bunk was warm but not unbearable, although had no need for the quilt. I found the mattress quite comfortable, and although the compartment was small I was able to move around inside comfortably. Noise does travel easily between adjacent compartments for those easily disturbed. I fear that on one heavy-drinking night I may have been the snoring disturbance, so bear this in mind. "Located right across the street from the station, great for is within walking distance. If you need a room just to sleep in is a great budget option. "
