"Ahmed was very nice ans welcoming. The property was cute and the area around too. The major inconvenient was the A/C was not working well at all, it was probable like 38 degrees in the room. "

"If you want to get back to nature - stay within 5 meters of the Nile - then yes it's great - but there are NO frills - no AC - there's basic sanitation - it's on an island - it's mosquito heaven - host is friendly but charges for everything - including water - make sure you know where you are going and have active phone service because taxi driver's - guys in the ferry did not know where I was looking for - I did not have local SIM card though"

"Had a wonderful stay in this Nubian guesthouse, loved waking up to an amazing view to the Nile with lovely traditional breakfast outside. Highly recommend this place for everybody, they take super good care of you. I was travelling alone as a woman so it felt great. It's also easy to take a boat to Aswan or a taxi from the guesthouse. Hope to visit this place again :)"

"This was a lovely place. I was not aware from the listing, that I had to take a boat to get there. It also said there was a restaurant. What they meant was they would get any food. They did go over in the boat to get me food. I don't really like boats, so this was not a good location for me."

"Pure thieves. They did not answer the phone to confirm reservation for days. I got a call from a different phone number saying that he presents the hotel but it is full and they will increase the price for an inland hostel as they are overbooked. They needed a deposit on line to send me their boat. Terrible trap in a gang organization. Very much disappointed in Expedia choice and support. I do not know who has my card information now"

"TOTAL SCAM. Bogus listing. Arrived at the property and there is nobody there and massive construction taking place next door. Calling the number listed connected me to a man claiming to be in Cairo who said he’s never heard of the property, although in the same breath he apologized for a competitor website’s mistake (I booked through Hotels, so his mention of that other site right there reveals he knows more than he was letting on and that this is a scam). I’m out all the money I paid, and...
