"The hotel was exactly what I wanted. Our room was comfortable and interesting, the people were lovely and helpful. The food was tasty and the view spectacular. Some of our taxi and tuktuk drivers needed help finding the correct hotel, but we were not in such a rush that it was a problem."

"Being in the Nubian village experience, if you love do mingle with the locals this is the place. We really enjoyed our stay. It's not in the city center but that is a good thing you can get anywhere quickly with their boat shuttle service. Or car service, I prefer the boat , car is not as relaxing "

"Bedroom smelt like sewerage. Booked quad room but got double. Provided 2 towels for 4 people. Requested 2 more towels but request was ignored. Charged 25usd for a 30 minute ride to the airport (equivalent taxi ride would have cost 1usd). Recommend staying at Kato Dool. "

"We stayed overnight after a Nile cruise, opting to stay on the very “other worldly” Elephantine Island. No traffic here or bustling markets or street hawks. Step back in time hundreds of years. And yet you are 5 minutes from downtown Aswan across the river. And Crystala Guest House is at the top of the short flight of steps (or ramp) from the ferry jetty. "Guest relation manager Reham had contacted us prior to our visit to ensure that any of our special requests could be accommodated. Maria was very helpful at check-in and offered us a complimentary upgrade and even arranged for a cake to celebrate our son's birthday. The location of the property on the top of the hill was quite unique and gave a view of the unfinished obelisk and the Nile, with good sunrise/sunset view. Would definitely recommend this property."

Mixed Experience: Great Rooms, Disappointing Break

"Our family had a great time at Endo Mando overall. We booked two waterfront view rooms, and although there was an issue at check-in where one of our rooms was placed in the back, the staff resolved it after we pointed out that we had paid for riverfront views. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the waterfront view was beautiful. However, the breakfast was disappointing. When we asked for coffee, we were told they only had cappuccino. Later, we were unexpectedly charged 100 Egyptian pounds for two cups of cappuccino, even though we weren’t informed that it was not included in the "free breakfast." While the rooms and overall stay were enjoyable, better transparency about breakfast charges and improvements to the breakfast offerings would make the experience much better. "
