"Its called budget for a reason but you get what you pay for. Breakfast is continental only, no hot food - there is toast, cereal, muffins/croissants and fruit. Coffee machines do all the coffees. Staff were really friendly. There is 24/7 pizza available to your room. Room was standard, the sink was in the room, separate toilet and tiny corner shower. All clean though. Came to stay here for business, so was only in the room for sleeping which worked out ok. My room was on the busy road side but...

"Very friendly check-in service, couldn't have asked more from this lovely lady. On arriving in the room it was freezing, the windows were open and the heating off, this was probably down to them trying to get rid of the wet dog smell. Other than the smell, the room was spacious, tv worked, hairdryer to use and shower gel provided with one large towel and one small. Extra pillows were available in the wardrobe. We left around 8am, the reception desk wasn't open at this time but we didn't need...

"The staff are friendly and welcoming, the bed was comfy, the room had tea coffee available. Breakfast was good as there was a nice selection of food and drinks. The only downside is the walls are not soundproof. So any noisy guests talking or banging doors would be an inconvenience. The shower took a bit of tuning to get the temperature right. Two things I wasn't particularly impressed about were: 1. the stairs leading up to the apartment looked really untidy, greatly contrasting with the neatness within the apartment. 2. River Trent at Alrewas, Staffordshire. Seen from Alrewas lock on the Trent and Mersey Canal. The walkway on the left is the towpath bridge across the river, which is entering from the left. The metal piling on the right allows firm mooring for narrowboats waiting to go into Alrewas Lock and into the canal. About three hundred metres round the bend to the right, a large weir allows the canal to continue to the north of the river, which continues to the east. Narrowboats must not be taken onto this river section when it is in flood.
