"I recently stayed at the Waterfront Rooms at High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and had a beautiful view of the water. The resort’s location is perfect—right in the heart of Lake Placid and just a short drive to Whiteface Mountain, making it an excellent choice for both relaxation and adventure. A special shoutout to Rodrigo at the reception desk, who went above and beyond to accommodate us with an early check-in. His warm welcome and helpful attitude made a great first impression and set the tone for a wonderful stay. The staff overall were friendly and attentive, and the resort’s proximity to Main Street made it easy to explore local shops and restaurants. I highly recommend High Peaks Resort and look forward to visiting again!"

"Great to place to stay when skiing at whiteface. Convenient location to the Olympic Legacy sites, easy drive to Whiteface Mount. Hot tub was great to soak in after a day of skiing. "

"We LOVE staying at The Hungry Trout! We ski Whiteface at least once a year, and sometimes go up for hiking in warmer months. This is the only place we like to stay. It's very cozy, clean, comfortable beds, and convenient to the mountain. Getting into Lake Placid is easy, too. Can't say enough good things about it. Although I haven't been there solo, were I travelling by myself, as a female I would have no problem staying here. (Normally, I would never stay alone anywhere with an outside access.)"

"Our family stayed here on a ski trip to Whiteface. The hotel is across the street from the mountain and is a great base camp, especially when you’re skiing with kids and have a lot to prep/do to get ready! We were here during a very large snow storm and the driveway was plowed and accessible even with the constant snow dumping! Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice base camp away and will spending most of your time outdoors. Beautiful view of the mountain! "
