"We have stayed in this pristine property many times and can’t wait to return. Rob’s house is exquisite—beautifully decorated in mid century modern decor and still so cozy! You can’t beat the location and will be inspired to take many walks down to the water or through the woods and adjacent neighborhoods. The hot tub is incredible! Love this restorative place. "

"Overall it was nice, the only thing is a few broken items: handle to one of the patio doors was missing, trash can in the kitchen was broken, it would be nice to have extra comfortables or blankets as the house does get pretty cold due to the old windows. In addition, the fire place does need looked at as it appears the vent does not work so we couldn’t use it. "

House is cute, clean & has a great deck to sit out on & excellent lake access. Location is very rural & literally have to drive down dirt roads & hills to get to the house. Nothing serious but I was surprised. "

"My friend and I needed some post-Christmas girls trip fun and relaxation, and the Big Red Cabin was the perfect spot! We enjoyed exploring Saugatuck and Holland, even with a few rainy days. The cabin was perfect for getting cozy with drinks and TV time, plus we thoroughly enjoyed hopping in the hot tub each night. Erica was a thoughtful and friendly host!"

If you do not have a car just know you will need to carve out time to wait for Ubers/taxis! But this is worth it with the seclusion of the house :) would recommend to anyone! "This was a great place to stay. I can imagine that in the summer, folks who want to get on the river or sit around the fire pit would be so happy. We stayed when it snowed hard so we didn't do any outdoor activities. The owner was amazing. She attentive and responsive. The only issue we had was with the dogs in the neighborhood. There is a sign when one pulls onto the road that there are a bunch of dogs who live there, which isn't a problem if one isn't allergic to dogs. What we didn't expect...

"Lovely location! Easy access to Saugutuck and Douglas but secluded and so beautiful! We were so fortunate to be there during Sandhill crane migration (we stayed 10/23-10/27) and there were literally hundreds of cranes in the marsh by the river!! Unfortunately we were also there during duck hunting season so the peace and tranquility was a bit ruined each morning but gunshots and loud boats. The gunshots scared all the cranes away! "The house is quaint with historical charm. By all accounts the beds were comfortable. We stayed in the winter and so can't speak to the outside amenities. We also didn't travel into town, so I can't speak to that either. The only criticism is that the elders in the family had a hard time finding the house as it is back off the road and the numbers are nailed up on a tree. Admittedly, I also had a moment looking for the house, but I was looking during daylight hours so it was easier to find....
