"Great place to stay, very close to Kintetsu-Nara train station. Lots of places nearby to eat nearby. A short walk to the park. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was very nice. Our only negative point, our room (201) did smell of smoke quite strongly. We believe it was above the smoking room downstairs. Overall a great stay and would recommend highly."

"This is the best Hostel to book on any budget. Since it is also a cafe the interior is upper nice and modern looking. As in the name, the interior is all made of wood and has that amazing wood smell that makes you feel so welcomed and at peace. It's a healthy walking distance from Kyoto station with light luggage and the the Nishiki Market area but far enough that it's quiet. Front desk staff was nice. "The room was a really good size. The building was clean and quiet. It was really nice to have laundry although it would be great if they provided a drying rack. This place is in a quieter neighborhood so definitely count on a lot of walking or using the bus to get around (the bus is very convenient and you can use your Suica card, just note that it's a flat rate of 230 regardless of how far you go). "Our stay at Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto was amazing! The hotel in a great area, walking distance to many of the top sights in Kyoto. The breakfast buffet and bakery in the main lobby are a MUST! Their pastries and bread are amazing. "

"Very new and modern hotel. Firm comfortable beds, very nice bathroom, shower and soaking tub. Spacious room with lots of little extras. Great climate control. Fabulous Onsen, spotless. Several new restaurants on the street level inside the building. Great value when booked on the app here."

Lovely stay and well cared for in Kyoto

"Stayed here for 5 nights with my adult children during cherry blossom season. We were so impressed with the hotel and its staff we changed our plans to travel to Osaka, and instead extended our stay in Kyoto two more nights. The hotel is centrally located near great shopping, restaurants, sites, and transportation. The staff is so kind and helpful. The rooms are immaculate and beds are luxuriously comfortable after a day of seeing beautiful Kyoto. Breakfast buffet is delicious and served in a beautiful room. I only wish the hotel bar was open in the evening so we could linger longer, but there are plenty of bars nearby."

"Excellent hotel in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. A stone's throw away from the Umekoji train station and a few minute walk from bus stops. The Family Mart downstairs is very convenient. Room is very spacious for a family of 4. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff was very nice and attentive. Onsen was clean and a good first experience for the kids. Facilities are clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again. "
