The staff are outstanding here from Ash at reception to Manuel in the dining room and Hannah in the spa. The many lounge areas are lovely and very tastefully decorated. "Really nice hotel, spa was nice. The suites could use some upgrades (the windows) there was water between the glass panels so the view couldn’t be enjoyed as much as it should have been. Especially when the heat was on full as it was -3 and it was just cloudy window panes. "

"this is our 4th stay at Rothay and it remains one of our favourites in the lakes. in winter it’s great to cosy up after a long walk in the garden spa, and the rooms and ambience is really comfortable without any pretentious swagger for which some of the other hotels in the area would charge you £100 per night more. breakfast is good quality and staff are friendly and efficient "
