"A lovely welcome to a lovely, remote Old Mill house..! The place is beautiful but needs a little TLC which works are being carried out now. The room was OK, big enough but a very cold bathroom - no heat in there at all.. The bed was old & creaky but clean & we slept OK. Tea & Coffee in the room. Bar area and breakfast was first class - always served with a smile. Open fire in bar area made it very cosy. We would stay again. Would love to see the place a little busier which I'm sure it will be...

"Location is what you expect being so close to the airport and right on the edge of town. If you need somewhere to stay the night before your flight it’s perfect! Our room was spacious, and we had tea & coffee making available. On the first night it was warm, but the second night it was cold and the heating didn’t come on in the morning even. We stayed to visit family who live in Ponteland, so without a car it was a challenge. Overall, I felt it was expensive for room only (as advertised)...

Check in was easy and the room was spacious and I was grateful for the kettle and teabags/milk and use of hairdryer and ironing board. The downside was the bars downstairs. We were at the front of the building right above the hotel bar and both Friday and Saturday night I struggled to sleep til the partygoers left at midnight. I had the windows shut and the blinds...
