"Room was basic but functional. We were up on the 7th floor overlooking the main road and noise wasn’t really an issue. The pod bathroom was a little strange but perfectly functional. "My stay at the Hickshead hotel has been excellent in many respects, especially the helpfulness of the staff and their proactive attitudes. Unfortunately if you have a room facing the carpark not only do you get woken up at silly o'clock by patrons chatting in the carpark but also by the smell of cigarette smoke coming in through the window. Yes I did have to get up and close the window. The Hotel is very convenient, the food is good and as I say the Staff make this place somewhere I will return....
