"This apartment is perfect for exploring the many beaches in west Curacao. One could just snorkel off the back of the property; the water was clear and there was plenty of fish. However, we rented a car and also went to other great beaches nearby for snorkelling: Kalki, Grote Knip, Kleine Knip, Forti, Grandi a.k.a. Piskado, Jeremi and Lagun. It is a 25 minute drive to see the flamingos at Jan Kok. There are other highly rated beaches nearby that we did not get to on this trip. The apartment itself was comfortable and the air conditioning was very effective. While there were facilities for basic cooking, we found it easier to take out food from the very reasonably priced Tur Tur Snacks down the road. Our apartment did not have a sea view but there was a terrace we could use. We did, however, sample the luxury of having a sea view balcony when one of those apartments became vacant during our stay. We would highly recommend getting a sea view apartment if it is available. As for the host, I concur with the superlatives that have been used to describe him. "

"My family (spouse and 18 year-old daughter) stayed at Sol Patch in March 2025. We had a very lovely stay. The view of the ocean from the deck and the pool is just wonderful. It was quiet and peaceful and I'd highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle of life for a bit. A few things that might be helpful to know...check in was super simple. We just messaged the owner through What's App and he took us to the house and showed us around. The house has the basics, but not much extra. We each received one bath towel and one beach towel. If you like extra towels, you'll want to bring them along. Same with things like shampoo, paper towels, or items for the beach. There was a pool noodle and snorkeling supplies, but if you like a chair or anything I'd grab one from town before heading to the house. We stopped at the grocery store before arriving so we were pretty stocked. There's not many places to buy items once you're at the house, so if you want to avoid the 30 minute trip back to town, I'd grab things before you go. We went out for dinner most nights. The house has a great little binder with suggestions that we utilized. Many of the nearby restaurants need reservations, so if you are able to plan it advance it will be helpful. Overall, I'd highly recommend the location and if we decide to head back to Curacao we'll definitely consider staying here again!"

"Youri and staff at Bahia made our stay unforgettable. Local fishermen offer their fresh catch daily. We purchased a small tuna and it was exceptionally delicious. Our ocean view rental had amazing views. Beach access was super convenient. We visited 2 other beaches but Lagun beach on the property had the best snorkeling experience. Beach chairs were included. Cafe latte and smoothies at the Bahia restaurant were a great way to start each day. Would recommend mentioning a car to explore the other parts of the island."

"We absolutely loved this place. We were originally concerned about having to pay in cash but check in was easy. We had a car so it was easy to get to. Ample parking, beautiful sunsets and view. We really enjoyed having two floors and the balcony. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you. We will be back for sure. "

"It’s a relaxing place. We got everything we need in our apartment. We liked the pool and the proximity to the beach. The beds could have been more confortable. Overall we recommend this place. "

"The property is simply stunning, with a small pool and ocean access down a set of stairs from the villa. Large sliding glass doors allow the trade winds to blow through the structure, keeping it cool. Both bedrooms are air conditioned, each with an ensuite bathroom.The cleanliness of the property is remarkable. Thalia, the property owner, is reachable anytime and very friendly and understanding.The ocean off the platform pictured is 20 feet deep and crystal clear.You do need to be aware that this villa is situated within the village of Laguna, so there will be some noise from neighbours, and the nearby church, but that did not detract from our holiday.If you're looking for hopping nightlife, probably best to look closer to Willemstad. This property is designed for relaxation and was just what the doctor ordered for us, who both have busy careers at home.I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Thalia."

I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to spend time on beautiful beaches, diving/snorkeling, and getting away from the more congested parts of the island. "
