"Beautiful view with 5 large bedrooms which gave everyone their own space. We have been visiting Curacao every year for the past few years as a group of 5 adults and 2 kids. The hosts were extremely responsive via What AppThe home has all the essentials- large beds in all the rooms, nice views in almost all of the bedrooms, plenty of linens, plenty of parking, kitchen cookware. The pool was well kept and there were some toys/floats for the kids. Pool chairs need an upgrade- some were broken.We liked having the option for air conditioning in all the rooms at any time. It is common practice in Curacao to have the AC on owner controlled timers. You are fully in control in this home. However, they will charge if you use more electric than what is included. I confirmed this with the host prior to booking so it was not a surprise and the host did come to take meter readings before and after. This is not clearly communicated in the VRBO listing. For reference: We used AC in 4 of the rooms overnight only and went 8 over for 5 days.We were familiar with the location and Cas Abou beach but I think the "2 minutes from the beach" description is deceiving. You absolutely need a car for this neighborhood- Cas Abou Beach is closest at 8 minute drive and a small entrance fee per car to enter.Overall I would book this property again since we knew what to expect before arrival. Nice house, nice amenities, description may need to be updated. "

"We love this house! It's a great location for an adult gathering. Lot's of space to allow for quiet moments even if you're in a group. The view from the pool and the veranda is AMAZING. Beautiful sunsets every night. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you'll need to cook meals and there's a stocked spice drawer as well. The bedroom air conditioning worked great which helps the comfortable sleeping temperature.There are some "quirks" to this house. The lower level bedrooms open to the outside - the proximity to the pool might be a bit worrisome if you had a toddler that can open doors.The wifi networks and passwords we were given didn't exist on our devices. Fortunately we had previous visits and our devices "recognized" the existing network and I was able to share the password. Beware the neighborhood pigs that raid the exterior trash cans - they're not an issue if you keep the gate closed.And I must mention that Hilde & Gerrit, the local hosts/housekeeper/maintenance staff are an absolute pleasure to interact with. They are quick to respond to any question/need! "

"Of all the places I stayed over many many years of travel this cottage is the most beautiful, the most serene, the most private. You know that scene at the end of Ocean’s Eleven where the crew is gazing at the fountain outside of the Bellagio and they’re just collectively exhaling and being in the moment? This place is a lot like that, but with a Caribbean backdrop instead of Vegas. Visit it; cook, drink a little too much, get a sunburn, snorkel with the fishies. It might just be the best time of your life."

"The villa and its location were spectacular, especially the view. There were a few minor issues, but these were addressed by Diana (villa manager) quickly. Outdoor area offered plenty of seating in the shade, and the pool was refreshing after a hot day. The living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and baths were well-equipped and very comfortable. I heartily recommend Grandi Bista to anyone!"
