"The Harborside is a fine spot. It's a bit tired, but it's good value for the money. The AC works very well, so important in this part of the world. The pool is weak, but the place is really best as a one night crash pad. They will try to upsell you on check in, so be ready for that. The front desk staff has an odd air of superiority and importance for the most part. The Duty Manager, I forget his name, was particularly self important. "I have stayed at the Elandra twice, since its re-opening 12 months ago. Both times I enjoyed and left relaxed. I was a little confused though when we went to dine for tea, there were children on the premises. Advertisement say adults only resort. I do not have any issue with this as I would love to bring my family next time."

"Excellent location. Close to everything and connected to he night market and Esplanade. My complaint is that they don't wash their pillows and one of mine smelled like it was soaked in sweat, not necessarily body odour, but moreso like a wet towel, from the previous guests who used the room and they only changed out the pillow case. It was so bad I had to throw it in one corner of the room. My second room (had 2 different bookings) was a lot better. But there was a lingering musty smell...

"When we arrived we were shown to an awful room at the back of the hotel, it looked like the safety latch had been smashed off. It had no cooking facilities. We requested an upgrade and paid an extra 50 dollars. We moved into this room which was much better, unpacked then noticed a big hole beside the door… we then moved again, just to next door. "Loved everything about this property. Room was nicely sized. Bathroom was great. Lots of towels and shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, etc. Plenty of places to lay out your suitcase. Loved the tea in the room. Breakfast buffet was delicious!"
