"If you are looking for a remote lake get away in northern Otsu this is ideal. This location suits the out door adventure types who want to be away from Otsu city. The lake was an amazing place to swim. What also would be a Great Lake side party atmosphere and relaxation with a group of friends. Amazing cleanliness despite the overall facility being quite old. "Very clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is some sweet bread. They set out options for pillows from you to choose from. It's a healthy walking distance from Kyoto station with light luggage and the the Nishiki Market area but far enough that it's quiet. Front desk staff was nice. The kitchen and common area downstairs are clean and fine. There is one washer and one dryer and a clothesline on the roof. "Compact rooms that are clean and comfortable. The location is across from Kyoto Station and accessible using underground walkways. The staff are very willing to please and most speak English. The breakfast buffet is good and a recommended addition to your stay. "

"Service was top notch. Very helpful, even with the little Japanese that I know. They were helpful in forwarding my luggage to my next destination. Location-wise is great, near Kyoto Station for subway, bus, and shinkansen. I would definitely stay here again with my family of 5. "

"The Blossom at Kyoto is a gem of a place to stay within walking distance of the Gojo subway station. The hotel is very elegantly styled, offers incredible service and has an amazing onsite restaurant (Kyoto Gojo Ono) which serves steaks which will melt in your mouth. We stayed in a triple room with 3 beds and it was surprisingly spacious for a Kyoto hotel. The furnishings were very moderns with a tatami mat space and elegant Japanese minimalist style. There were several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel including quick fast food options. It was an excellent experience for all of us and my teen daughter loved the place."

Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs

"We chose this hotel mainly for the spa and proximity to mount Fuji but I did not expect the views we received in the morning. We were blessed with clear skies and saw Mount Fuji in all of its glory. The room(s) were spacious and the bath tub was nice and comfortable. The property is a tad dated though in the sense that each room is operated with a key and not a keycard "
